44 & 45) Running Series (2/9): Down past the south end of the lake, past the ball fields, past the Kid Valley, is the post office for the 98103 zip code. During busier times, this fine snorkel box has a line of cars queued up behind it, but if you come early enough you can have it all to yourself! Pay it a visit on N 47th Street at Interlake Ave N if you’d like. BONUS! BONUS! If you look carefully, you can see another mailbox in the background, near the doors of the post office. I’m counting this as a special two-for-one, as though I had actually planned it.

5) Today’s mailbox is nestled in the middle of Wallingford, residing on N. 46th at Sunnyside Ave N. It’s a fine box, a cool box. The weather was lovely so it became the first of hopefully many bike-mailbox excursions.
