Mailboxes of Seattle

One-by-one, I posed with every publicly accessible blue mailbox in Seattle. This is easily the most meaningless thing I've ever done.

South Lake Union, Harrison St at Westlake Ave N

119) One thing I’ve learned during this project is that the mailboxes are slowly disappearing. According to the Land Use signs posted at this Firestone location, this building will soon be coming down… and I can pretty much guarantee that will spell the end for this box. Mail ’em while you can, people… mail ’em while you can.

South Lake Union, Westlake Ave N at Republican St

101) Here we are, the first mailbox photo after the historic 100th posting from yesterday. I thought it best to take a moment to relax and relish in the success of this project, and this box in South Lake Union was happy to oblige. Yeah, the picture would have been more dramatic if the streetcar was rumbling by, but I really didn’t feel like waiting for it.

South Lake Union, Fairview Ave at Thomas St

95) You ever have those days when you just want to blend in with the surroundings and let the world pass you by? Well, if you happen to feel that way when you’re in the South Lake Union area, I strongly recommend visiting this box on Fairview Ave at Thomas Street. Between the box and those shrubs, no one will notice you.

SLU, Dexter Ave N near Harrison St

92) As you can see, I wanted to give this South Lake Union box plenty of space. There was something about it I just didn’t trust and I felt that getting any closer would simply put me at too much risk. If you’re walking on Dexter Ave N near Harrison Street, I recommend swinging wide.

36) Hold onto your hats, because I’m getting real tricky for this self portrait with this fine South Lake Union box. Personally, I think the UPS box is being a bit rude by crowding the space like that, but perhaps I’m just a bit biased. Feel free to stop by Dexter Ave N at Thomas Street to form your own opinion.

SLU, Dexter Ave N

18) It was a beautiful late winter Sunday when I found myself atop this sturdy box located across from the old KEXP studios on Dexter Ave N.
